The Magic of Childhood
Childhood is the entry way to the beginning of your life.
Take the time to listen and learn from others,
Then chart your own course
March to your own drum…
The world is filled with endless possibilities.
Childhood is the entry way to the beginning of your life.
Take the time to listen and learn from others,
Then chart your own course
March to your own drum…
The world is filled with endless possibilities.
Oh, how I love the possibilities each day offers.
Gardens are full of all kinds of wonders no matter how large or how small they may be.
As long as a garden is lovingly tended all kinds of plants will sprout, blossom and grow.
Fairies love gardens and every garden has Fairies….
Everyone enjoys Fairies and Fairy Folk appreciate all the attention they receive even if they remain secretive and hidden.
Did you know plants enjoy children just as much as fairies do, and that the sound of one child’s laughter is enough to make a flower blossom and want to grow?
Fairy Grandmothers! Who knew?
There truly is magic in every garden, all one has to do is look.
“Don’t you know that everybody’s got a Fairyland of their own?”
“You do not chop off a section of your imaginative substance and make a story specifically for children, for if you are honest, you have no idea where childhood ends and maturity begins. It is all endless and all one.”
Quotes: P.J. Travers
(Pamela Lyndon Travers) was an English- Australian born writer best known for her brilliant series of children’s books, featuring the magical nanny Mary Poppins.
The Fairies belive that gardens are like people and that every Garden no matter how large or how small
has a story.
The Fairies say that as you grow you will discover after all your searching and seeking,
which are brilliant and wonderful things to do,
That the most valuable of treasures lies within you… an open, accepting human heart.
Fairy Folk believe in human kindness and generosity and they say that those magical childhood hours spent within a garden will always be carried within you.
Remember it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey, the travels along the way.
So adventure outward if even into your own back yard and look closely at and make friends with the smallest of the small, the tallest of the tall.
Discover the world around you as you sprout, blossom and grow.
Remember you are as magical as any garden as you transform into your own true self.
The Full moon of June is known as the Strawberry Moon.
The naming of full moons in North American is said to have originated with Native Americans.
The rise of the Full Strawberry Moon signals the ripening of wild strawberries and the time to gather their harvest.
From atop Blue Fairy Hill we were fortunate enough to witness both the setting of the sun and the rising of Strawberry Moon!
On the north side of a small mountain in Maine I take care of some very beautiful gardens with the help of a small troop of Home Place Fairies.
Early each morning fairies flutter about my farm sprinkling fairy dust encouraging all sorts of plants to flourish and grow.
Today I surprised La Rosa as she was tending the woodland plants.
In the center of the Children’s Garden I found Little Lu Fairy whispering to Yellow Iris and singing to chives.
Before leaving the garden Little Lu looks in on a nest of baby wildlings.
Magic happens in every garden and if you look closely all kinds of miracles are happening, like this little ground nest of sparrow eggs. Aren’t they beautiful? Notice how Little Lu Fairy sprinkled them with protective fairy dust.
